A look at what shortwave utility transmitting and receiving stations are still operational in the UK
Back some 30 or 40 years, the shortwave bands were with filled with signals; these were transmissions from military establishments, news agencies, diplomatic traffic and many other sources. However, in the present day, and the majority of this traffic has migrated to satellite, or terrestrial fibre optic cable links. Don will help us explore the remaining utility transmitting and receiving stations in Great Britain.
